Combined heating

Tube-type radiators directly connected to the heating system may be supplemented by a electric heater 1373/xx and may be used at any time independently of
the heating system operation.
The recommended capacities of electric heating elements for the individual radiators are specified in the rating tables of the individual types.

BASIC INSTALLATION RULES AND USE OF ELECTRIC AND COMBINED RADIATORS

  • The heating rod must always be installed in vertical position with the supply from below.
  • The power input of the heating rod is selected according to recommendations for the individual radiators. Use of a heating rod with higher power input does not increase the heating power but, on the contrary, reduces its
    operating life.
  • Do not loosen the blinding plugs in the radiator.
  • Heaters that are likely to be installed in the bathroom must be installed in such a manner to prevent the person in the bath-tub or shower from touching the switches and other control devices. Incorrect installation could result in damage to the equipment or personal injury caused by electrical current or burning.
  • The heater may not be installed directly under the mains outlet. Have the suitability of your mains outlet tested by a professional firm (ČSN 35 4515).
  • The radiator must be installed at least 25cm from the ground.
  • In case of installation of the heating element outside of the Czech Republic, the respective national regulations must be adhered to.
  • The controllers are connected to 230V 50Hz electric power mains using a movable lead cable terminated by pressed-on plug connector to the standard mains outlet installed in accordance with ČSN. The equipment must be protected by a current (differential) protection with 30mA latching current.
  • Protection against electrical accident must be ensured according to ČSN 33 2000-4-41.
  • In case of fixed connection of the appliance to the electrical system, a master switch (circuit breaker) disconnecting both pole pieces of the electrical network must be incorporated into the feed of the controller which must be easily accessible
    for the operating personnel.
  • The connection to the electric network together with testing of the installation suitability may only be carried out by a professional.

Thermostat installation

If socket outlet thermostat TZ 33 is used in bathrooms or in rooms with washing facilities, it may be installed only into a fixed socket outlet with current protection with nominal latching current not exceeding 30mA located in zone 3.

Thermostat description and adjustment

After switching the thermostat TZ33 on (inserting it into the socket outlet), the thermostat's ambient temperature and thermometer symbol is shown on the thermostat display.
The thermometer symbol lights continuously if the selected control knob temperature is lower than the measured ambient temperature. If the selected temperature is higher, the thermometer symbol flashes up and after a few seconds the heating appliance is switched on. Switching is indicated by turning the green LED on.
The thermostat switches the heating appliance on and off until the room temperature value selected by the control knob is reached. To adjust different temperature rotate the thermostat control knob (the value is increased by rotating in a clockwise direction and decreased by rotating in a anticlockwise direction). If the adjusted temperature is changed, “hand” symbol lights up on the display and simultaneously the adjusted temperature is showed in the range of 5 – 35°C with a step of 0.5°C. After several seconds of inactivity the “hand” symbol and the adjusted temperature value will disappear. The thermostat's ambient temperature is showed on the display again.
